Fusion
The Fusion effect lets you add metal, chrome and pop-art effects to the texture. The Fusion controls are placed at the top of the Surface tab sheet. It consists of a combo box and seven sliders.
The Fusion Effects
The combo box at the top lets you select one of the five Fusion effects. The first entry "No Fusion" is just for deactivating the effects.

Neon effect | Xenon effect | PopArt effect |
The Metal option produces a metal-like surface and the Chrome feature applies a chrome surface to the texture. The Neon and Xenon options produce smooth colored surface effects, whereas the PopArt effect adds even more wild colors.
The First Two Sliders
The first slider at the top lets you adjust the intensity of the effect. Higher values produce a stronger granularity. The Fine slider controls the same parameter at a lower level. It allows to sets the granularity more precisely. Very high values for both sliders aren't recommended, because they would just produce noise.
Extrude
At high values the Extrude slider can drastically reduce the preview calculation and final rendering. So values of 1, 2 or 3 are recommended. The slider more or less controls the size of the carvings that are added to the texture.
Smooth
Low values of this slider produce a rough and high contrast effect while high ones produce a soft effect with less contrast.
Red / Green / Blue
The Red, Green and Blue sliders let you select the color of the Fusion effect. If all three sliders have the same value, you will produce a neutral gray color.
